As state research director for NCSPN for two years, I did spiritual mapping/demographic studies of all 100 NC counties. I've posted the Triad's studies online in PDF format on my website for anyone to download. I also have all sorts of statewide data on my home pc. Let's brainstorm what information would be useful and I'll gladly upload any files I have for easy access.

Attention Prayer Warriors:
This is a prayer event for Winston Salem.
Let me remind you that our jails need more prayer than ever before, not just for individual inmates, but that the Gospel will go forth inside those walls and God will be glorified through changed lives. Islam has targeted our prisons and is preaching hate and retribution to the least of these our brothers and sisters.

You are invited to come out and support this local event with Dr. Tony Evans. If you are interested in doing jail ministry, this would be great way to network.
Hope on the Inside Crusade September 7, 2007
Hosted by Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries 307 Craft Drive Winston-Salem, NC 27105 (336 759-0063, ext. 37
www.forsythjpm.org
Prayer 6:15 pm Around the Forsyth County Jail
- Pray for inmates, families and administration - Pray for Dr. Tony Evans' message to the inmates - Pray for lives to change - Pray for volunteers ministering to the inmates
IMPORTANT: When you are at the prayer site, you will receive a ticket to get into the Praise service.
Praise 7:30 pm At Reynolds Auditorium
- Celebration of Christ as Savior - Dr. Tony Evans' message to our community - Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries mission to those incarcerated and their families.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining me in prayer around the jail. This is the kind of event that brings the Winston Salem Body of Christ into agreement that the Lord reigns in our midst, even in our jails. Aglow needs to be there. Let me know if you want to meet somewhere and we'll stay near each other at the event. cuselman@att.net 210-2239 cell

Redemptive Gifts of the Triad

Thank you so much, Katrina, for posting your research of the Cities of the Triad. This gives us some guidelines and some ideas for directed, targeted intercession. I also want you all to know that Linda Stone of Greensboro who is the NC Coordinator of the National Day of Prayer will be hosting an intercessors prayer meeting at the Vineyard Church in Greensboro tomorrow night, Monday, August 20 at 7pm. I have been with this group before and they have keen insight into the strategies that God has given for this territory. I'm going to try to attend.

Greensboro

Rulers are the implementers, the natural leaders and lasting empire builders. They are specifically anointed to impart blessing on people’s spiritual walk. In spiritual warfare they have authority over injustice, abuse and unrighteousness, especially over cities and nations. God's people are positioned to leverage God's civil government, to walk with great influence among the nations. City becomes model of godliness, honor and righteousness and nations are drawn to it.

HighPoint

The Giver community is designed to have huge diversity of vital resources. The corporate redemptive gift of Giver has three dominant characteristics - immense diversity on all levels, an extremely strong independent spirit, and a religious spirit which is very event-focused. Yet a birthing anointing rests on the Giver community and they are positioned to provide essential resources to those around them. Your city’s redemptive gift is for the other cities in the region.

Winston-Salem

This Teacher community is called by God to discover who they are in Christ and instruct believers in truth that enthrones Jesus. The evidence of a mature Teacher community includes the manifest presence of God publicly citywide with evidences; worship with the arts, dance, sculpture and psalms; and, it is a city of refuge, a safe place of healing where the most broken can come for restoration to wholeness. Research will result releasing prototypes to the other cities & nations. Justice, biblical truth, and righteousness all are in proper alignment and Body of Christ living in community. Finally, a generational anointing will be present along with the authority through intercession to redeem ministries that have fallen short of fulfilling their Godly purpose.

Exciting News!

I am so excited to hear what God is doing! I miss you guys so much, but finally getting involved here. I will be helping the area board president put a newsletter together and hope to get with the Columbia Aglow ladies soon. they have been in a prayer and reorganization mode and have a new vision and plan for Columbia. w-S and the Triad are in my heart and prayers!! Last Thursday night the Western NC Area Team met with Scarlet, Martha and I at my house. Jana Comer, Joyce McCarty, and Pam Smith came to listen as I shared the vision for Aglow in the Triad that the Lord gave me at the President's retreat. They confirmed what I had been sensing, that Winston Salem should be a neighborhood lighthouse and we should mobilize an ARROW intecessors team across the Triad. They also spent a time of prayer with Martha concerning birthing Aglow in the Thomasville area. Martha and Scarlet and I hung out later and found out that we know many people in common and some of the awesome prayer warriors that I have met at MorningStar. It is so exciting to see divine connections being made!

Tuesday, August 6

Well, the Winston Salem Aglow blog has existed for 24 hours now. If you are just answering the invitation to join please feel free to post your thoughts and insight. This coming Thursday nite, August 9, at 7 pm you are invited to come to my house in Winston to pray and seek the Lords face for our lighthouse. Jana Comer and some other Area Team members will be there as well. My address is:
2700 Reynolda Rd
Apt 1415
Winston-Salem 27106
The name of the apartment complex is "The Corners" and is about 1.5 miles north of Wake Forest University. Please do a MapQuest search to get turn by turn directions.
My phone is 336-210-2239 if you get lost.

Today I received a box of emergency preparedness supplies that I ordered online as these items can't be found locally. The water packets are coming in a second box, but today I received 3 different brands of 2400 calorie food bars, Mainstay, Mayday, and Datrex. I also got 3 (they sent an extra) Sierra cups that can serve to heat up small amounts of water or food over candles. And some "hot hands" hand and body warmers (extra large size). I will be including more information in the future on the Aglow emergency response and disaster relief ministry here on this blog. For tonight, suffice it to say that we are called for such a time as this. When we hear of disasters, natural and man-made we are not to be paranoid, but we are to conquer fear through faith and being prepared. This is not to stock our basements full of food and ammunition, but to understand that we live in a fallen world that is rapidly falling apart and if we can help ourselves and others in the midst of the storm by comforting them with some food, water and the Word of the Lord, then we can take heart, knowing that Christ has overcome the world and our redemption is drawing nigh.
I will be sharing more at a later time, may the Lord bless you until then.

WAY TO GO!!!!

Way to go Carol, I knew that something new and wonderful was going to come out of your obedience to accept this position! I am so excited and can't wait to hear and participate (even from a distance) in what is going to come from God's heart for the Triad! This is my first time to particiapte in a blog, but I want to be right up there with what the Lord is doing in this tech world!! Love and Prayers,

Congratulations

Way to go Carol!! The blog looks great.

Welcome to the Winston Salem Aglow Blog

I want to welcome you to our new blog. As our Aglow motto has been for years "A Network of Caring Women", I felt it was time to get us into the 21st century with all the technological tools we have at our disposal. I am hoping that this forum will be a place to share with you the vision God has given us for our city of Winston Salem and the Triad, and that you will feel free to share what the Holy Spirit has shown you or spoken to you concerning our mission field. Last weekend of July I attended a Presidents Retreat in the VA mountains hosted by Nancy Mcguirk our Mid-Atlantic Regional director. There were probably 40-50 Aglow lighthouse presidents there just as discouraged as me, tired of having public meetings where only a few ladies showed up. Almost all the lighthouses were struggling with only 2-3 officers, some like W-S down to one officer and on the verge of turning off the beacon. Nancy chose as the key scripture for the gathering, Matthew 9:17..."No one puts new wine in old wineskins...". This was fresh breeze of the Spirit to my weary soul. Aglow as an international ministry is part of the new wine, the best wine that Jesus saved for these last days. (re: the Marriage at Cana miracle) And we have been struggling to pour new wine into the same old wineskin that the Lord made for us 40 years ago. Well, He's telling us and the leadership that it is time for a new wineskin. The format of a public meeting with praise & worship, an anointed speaker and powerful, life-changing ministry served us well in the past, but it is a new day, a new out pouring of His Spirit and we are the new wine so we need a new format. That is why Winston Salem Aglow is going to become a "Neighborhood" Lighthouse. Within the current guidelines we can meet as often as we choose, and can use a home or other convenient place (as in "free") and watch a DVD from conference or do a Bible Study or a time of intercession or personal ministry or just follow the leading of the Lord. We can be FLEXIBLE and be led by His Spirit without the pressure of a public meeting to prepare for. He is also speaking to us about coordinating an ARROW (Aglow Rapid Response Outreach and Warfare) prayer team that would include Greensboro Aglow and the High Point area.
So God has been speaking much to us and the things He has said concerning Winston Salem have been confirmed by our Area Team and new President Jana Comer and also Nancy McGuirk our regional director. It is exciting to get new marching orders! In the coming weeks I will be sharing some of the prophetic history of this Lighthouse and how we have been called for such a time as this. I invite you to share on this bogsite as well. We are the Body of Christ and all the members are necessary for the Body to function as intended. We can use this forum to build one another up in the faith, to pray for each other and to strategize the work of the Kingdom that He has called us to do. Our mission, should we accept it, is to use the tools of Aglow and the power of the Holy Spirit to gather and train a band of women in the Triad who will go anywhere to pray and bring the Gospel anytime on any level to anyone; to bring the Kingdom of God into our families, our churches, our jobs, our neighborhoods and our communities. Lord, by Your power that lives in us, we accept the mission!
